When you are not sure where to visit in Japan. You will go to Ise-city!!
Especially, I recommend visiting Okageyokocho in Ise.
Here it is near the traditional shrine “Isejingu”. These places have a history for Japan.
In Okageyokocho, there are countless numbers of attractive food, events, and culture.

Traditional Food in Okageyokocho
One of my super favorite foods is Tekone zushi!
This is one of the local dishes in Ise-shima.
It is similar to sushi as you can imagine.
However, the sashimi (fish) is flavored with soy sauce. And the type of fish is made from bonito or tuna!
This meal was so delicious.!!!!!!
The above picture shows rice, fish, eggs, and seaweed.
The taste is similar to sushi, but the sashimi is marinated in soy sauce, making it more flavorful and softer than sashimi.
How to find a restaurant for Tekone zushi
Find the sign with these words! “手捏ね寿司” Then you are definitely in the right place for Tekone zushi. There are many restaurants where you can eat Tekone zushi in Okage Yokocho.
